This piece was composed out of the field recordings of a ritual operation. Every sound was produced by digitally manipulating different parts and aspects of said recording.

In 2020, Alejandro Zertuche, a Mexican magician-artist realized and video recorded an occult & magical-themed performance somewhere around Europe. The piece dealt with the subject and mythology of the golden thread in relation to some personal issues he was going through. The result was a video-art piece, still unedited to this day.

In order to complete said piece, Alejandro approached me to create the soundtrack. Following the spirit of the piece and our mutual love for all things occult, we decided that we would perform and record a different ritual in order for me to use it as the main audio source to create the music for his piece. This new ritual dealt with similar personal issues of mine that we both noticed when he was explaining his intention for the original and first ritual. The operations for the second ritual strayed away from the golden thread and were adapted to my particular case and idiosyncrasy. Overall this ritual included operations such as the LBRP, an effigy construction and destruction, as well as a theremin placed at the center of the room where it was performed in order for it to react and create tones in response to our movement at the moment of the ritual performance.

These recordings were later processed digitally to create the music presented here.
