Instrumental keyboard track with spooky tape noises

Not to fetishize cassette any more than needs doing. At least a few horror narratives talk about the idea of audio or video cassette as being uniquely capable of capturing genuinely metaphysical events. This experiment was a first test of the theory of physical media being capable of simmering, gathering or absorbing emotional or spiritual energy passively when it is not in use. The initial sonic experiments for these tracks were recorded months ago, but weeks and months would pass before they would take the form they became. In the meantime, did the tape perhaps release some of its intention into the recording space? Or did it in turn absorb some of the other creative and metaphysical energies that took place in its presence? The thought of using a combination of cassette + time as spiritual test tubes, ways of collecting sample energies, is intriguing.
Technical issues almost sunk the ship - I'm happy to say I was able to recover two tracks.
