An experiment of casting an in-progress work of longform fiction into the neither/neither through speaking the words over audiomantic rhythms that were story inspired. The fiction is entitled “Zozobra” and this is the prologue. Set in 1924 Santa Fe, we witness a town in severe drought and the dark machinations of a marionette maker’s last ditch effort to consort the unseen as a means for reprieve. How does this tie into the rest of the tale, a tale of the late 1800’s death and subsequent bardo jumping of my musical alter, Dakota Slim? We shall see.
